My Thoughts on my passion — Movies and Music!!

JAWAN: What’s the point in arguing? It’s SRK.

What’s the point in arguing about JAWAN? Its an SRK film after all.

What’s the point in saying the film is preposterous and over-the-top? It’s made by the young Tamil director Atlee, and those familiar with his work should know.

What’s the point in complaining about how messy it is? It’s still a full-on slam-bam “paisa vasool” Bollywood flick.

What’s the point in comparing it to PATHAAN? Both directors (Siddharth Anand, Atlee) have their own distinct styles of filmmaking that is clearly evident.

What’s the point in saying that it’s an SRK vehicle? So is Mission Impossible for Tom Cruise. It all about conviction and the star’s ability to pull it off.

What’s the point in dissecting the story for loopholes? This is not SWADES or CHAK DE INDIA. So relax.

What’s the point in comparing the Father-Son revenge act with AAKHREE RAASTA? Stop! Both films are as different as chalk and cheese.

What’s the point in saying that the film is loud and frenetic? Watch the 2022 Kamal Haasan Tamil action thriller VIKRAM, have fun making the comparisons and then decide.

What’s the point in talking about how incredulous those set-pieces interspersed throughout the movie were? Umm…that is the whole point of such action thrillers.

What’s the point in complaining that some of the action scenes are too long and stretched? That’s just how Atlee’s films are. Just when you think it’s over….there’s more to come.

What’s the point in asking for better music? You still have Chaleya. And also get that kicka$$ background score that more than adequately compensates for everything else that’s lacking in that space.

What’s the point in talking about how good SRK-Deepika Padukone’s chemistry is? We expect no less from them now anyway.

What’s the point in saying that Vijay Sethupathi’s villain act is getting repetitive? Most Hindi filmgoers are getting exposed to this masterful actor for the first time ….so they wouldn’t know anyway.

What’s the point in giving credit to the film as it tackles various social issues while not letting go of the action at any moment? That’s the least we’ve all come to expect from Brand SRK as an audience.

What’s the point in clapping quietly at that Interval point and then looking sheepishly at the people around you? No need to hide it. Go ahead and whistle too! That is indeed a clap-worthy moment.

So what’s the point in arguing about JAWAN anyway? You would still want to go ahead and watch it.

The only question left for you to answer is: Are you READY?

One response to “JAWAN: What’s the point in arguing? It’s SRK.”

  1. What’s the point of arguing it with YOURSELF? Why does one goes to movies? I suppose to get entertained. If Jawaan keeps you occupied for 3 hours and entertains you without using your mind, then it is worth it.
    So, definitely I am ready!!!
